Badung

Badung is a regency on the Indonesian island of Bali and is home to the islands largest tourist regions. This includes the beachside regions of Seminyak, Legian, Kuta, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua. These areas are popular with international travellers and contain numerous premium quality resorts and properties.

For many years, travellers were attracted to the beachside communities that boasted fantastic surfing swells and affordable accommodation. Over time the cheap accommodation has been replaced by lavish resorts, luxury villas and tourist properties. This has been complimented by a growing dining culture with many internationally recognised restaurants setting up in the region.

The beach still is a major draw for tourists but there is much more here for people to see with a number on the islands most spectacular temples here and in recent times the introduction of large beach clubs that provide a range of activities and services. Beach activities here included surfing, where if you are a beginner you can attend one of numerous surf schools, paddle boarding, para sailing and much more.

Badung is home to Bali’s major international airport, the Ngurah Rai International airport, and this is convenient to all of the Badung tourist communities which are all within an hour travel time. This even takes into account the incredible traffic congestion that you will find with at all times of the day.
