About Circular Quay & The Rocks
Circular Quay sits on a small inlet off of Sydney Harbour and is the water access gateway to the Sydney City Centre. This area is the hub of water traffic in Sydney Harbour with commuter ferries intermingling with tourist vessels and the occasional ocean cruise liner.

From Circular Quay you are within easy reach of all parts of Sydney. It is easy walking distance to the foot of the Sydney Central Business District, ferries can transport you to Manly, Taronga Zoo and various points in Sydney Harbour and it is serviced by Sydney’s efficient train system.

The area around Circular Quay provides some of the best vantage and photographic points for the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Harbour itself as well as providing a great location for sitting back and people watching.

Off to the northern side of Sydney Cove lies The Rocks, one of Sydney’s oldest and most intriguing of Sydney’s neighbourhoods. The area can generally be found full of wandering tourists, enjoying the Old World charm of the well maintained federation buildings that are now home to many restaurants, café’s, pubs and museums.

The Rocks area sits beneath the giant columns of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and extends underneath the raised roads to Observatory Hill and the Sydney Observatory. Like Circular Quay, there are a multitude of great phot opportunities to capture most of Sydney’s iconic harbour side attractions.
