The Best Things About Washington DC

Free Museums & the Mall.
Not only the best museums in the world but many of them are free. The Smithsonian and Washington Mall is a must see for any visitor to the US (a bit biased). Stand in the middle of the mall and look up to Capitol Hill, down to Lincoln Memorial, across to the White House and stand in the shadow of the Washington Monument. It's pretty breathtaking even when you've done it numerous times.
