San Diego’s Downtown and Gaslamp district is the business, dining and nightlife heart of the city. The thriving region is a combination of distinct districts including the Gaslamp Quarter, Downtown Marina, Little Italy and East Village.

The historic Gaslamp Quarter is home to many of the city’s leading restaurants, trendy boutique shops, art galleries, theatres and a vibrant nightlife. It is an area where modern skyscrapers and Victorian era buildings stand side by side and at night you can dine at cosmopolitan sidewalk cafes and restaurants.

The Downtown Marina district is home to the San Diego Convention Center and a number of major hotels including the Manchester Grand Hyatt, Marriott Marina and the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. The district also boasts great shopping in modern luxurious complexes and is the home of the USS Midway aircraft carrier museum.

Little Italy is located in the north of the Downtown and Gaslamp area and you will find great authentic Italian food, or if you prefer you can grab an espresso or a glass of chianti.

Coronado incorporates the main Coronado Island which is connected to the mainland by the Silver Strand tombolo. It boasts spectacular world renowned beaches and resorts as well as amazing city views of San Diego across the harbor.
