Kings Cross was once the seedy, adult only area of Sydney, however over recent years there has been an increase in quality restaurants and lively nightclubs and bars. Unfortunately, late night trading laws and nightlife lockouts have impacted on the number of options for the all-night party people. The area is also a drawcard for international travellers catering for both contemporary travellers with serviced apartments and hotels, as well as backpackers with some great backpacker hostels.
The Sydney Harbour neighbourhoods of Potts Point, Woolloomooloo, Elizabeth Bay & Rushcutters Bay provide a range of high quality dining with many of Sydney’s hottest dining venues located here. The area also provides an extensive array of art deco properties some of which have been converted to boutique hotels or guest houses.
