Gardens By The Bay

Gardens by the Bay is one of Singapore’s more recent major attractions. It is a spectacular park spanning over 100 hectares of reclaimed land on the Marina Bay and consists of a number of separate gardens, lakes, pavilions, domes and super structures. The gardens are easily accessible by public transport with MRT trains to Bayfront station, or buses. There is also ample car parking and the park can be easily walked to from numerous hotels within the Marina Bay and Downtown Core areas.

The main garden areas are free and open from 5am through to 2am daily. This includes the Supertree Grove, which is home to 12 enormous tree structures that reach up as high as a 16 storey building. These structures are connected by the OCBC Skyway, a walkway that intertwines through the structures providing incredible views over the gardens and Singapore skyline. The OCBC Skyway does have a separate charge. At night time these super structures are illuminated in a sensual sound and light show called Garden Rhapsody.

The gardens are home to 2 enormous domes called the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome. These enormous domes provide incredible floral and garden presentations with the Flower Dome being the World’s largest columnless greenhouse.
