Within these borders lie many of New York City’s famous landmarks including the Rockefeller Centre, Times Square and the GE Building. People are drawn to Times Square with its bright neon lights and giant video screens and where you will find MTV’s studios. The Rockefeller Centre is home to the Top of the Rock Observation deck which provides some spectacular views of the city and surrounds.
However, it is the theatre district with its Broadway and Off Broadway shows that are probably the biggest draw. Most of the largest and most renowned theatre productions can be found playing in one of the many theatres here. Cheap tickets can be found in Times Square TKTS booth where last minute tickets for shows can sell for up to half price.
It is no surprise that the Midtown West neighborhood does not have a shortage of dining options and it really is just a matter of finding one to satisfy your budget and desire. The area west of 9th Avenue, which is referred to as Hell’s Kitchen, is a great dining option with numerous fine restaurants and without as much hustle and bustle and the Broadway, Times Square tourist district.
