Melbourne’s City Centre boasts an attractive array of attractions and activities that will keep people of all ages occupied and amused. The area has significant architectural works, a range of museums, is home to much of the cities live theatre and has retained some historical sites.

Burke Street Mall is the retail and shopping heart of Melbourne, running between Elizabeth Street and Swanston Street. Housing such retail giants as Myer, David Jones the mall is not open to any traffic except Melbourne’s famous trams.
The Old Melbourne Goal is located in Russell Street in the Melbourne City Centre. The former prison ceased operation in the 1920’s and has become a museum showing exhibitions on the venues history and its prisoners including Ned Kelly.
