San Francisco’s Civic Center is the administrative centre of San Francisco, with many city, state and federal government offices based here. One of the features of the area is the architecture with a number of spectacular building and plaza’s. Including the City Hall, many of these were constructed in the early 1900’s after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire.

The City Hall complex is the prominent building in the Civic Center with other notable structures including the War Memorial Opera house, the Asian Art Museum and Civic Center Plaza. Along with the Opera house a number of other notable buildings also provide home to various arts and theatre and include the Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Orpheum Theatre.
