Loxton is located on a large bend of the River Murray, 250 km from Adelaide. It is one of the largest of the Riverland towns with a population of around 7000 people. The area around Loxton is covered by vast acres of grape vines and citrus groves.
The Loxton historican village is an award winning tourist attraction with around 30 buildings set up to depict live on the river from the late 1800's to the mid 1900's.
