The distinctive Washington Monument is a 555 foot high marble obelisk that holds pride of place in the center of the Washington’s famed National Mall. Opened to the public the monument is surrounded at its base by 50 flags.

Washington’s spectacular National Mall stretches for a mile. At its bookends sits the Unite States Capitol at one end and the Lincoln Memorial at the other with the Washington Monument in between and surrounding it are nine world class museums.
